LITCHFIELD, Conn. - Dec. 23, 2013 - PRLog -- In this exhibition, Litchfield Montessori School Art Specialist, Tina Zampaglione inspired elementary students to create aboriginal paintings and various sculpted fish while introducing them to numerous techniques and masterworks.

The Upper Elementary students were introduced to indigenous Aboriginal art dating as far back as fifty thousand years ago.  Each student chose an animal to highlight and designed colorful and imaginative dot paintings incorporated with Aboriginal symbology.  The Lower elementary students focused their artwork on capturing the color, patterns and characteristics of individual fish to create vibrant large cut-out paintings.

Visual arts are an important element of the integrated curriculum and the culture of Litchfield Montessori School.  Established in 1972, LMS is committed to serving the whole child and dedicated to nurturing the child’s sense of wonder, encouraging independence and imagination, and fostering respect for our world’s social and cultural diversity.
