Olson takes to podium once again- and seals 3rd overall in AFR Championship

In what can only be called an inspired drive today, Pete Olson set his fastest lap time ever this morning in qualifying at blistering 1.37.7, half a second behind former AFR Champion Jim Kato of Hong Kong. In the afternoon, Olson took 3^rd in AFR’s highest-level International Class in the Round 9 race, which earned him 20 points, enough to seal 3^rd overall in the 2013 Asia Formula Renault Championship for PS Racing Team in the driver’s titles despite one race to go tomorrow.

“I am incredibly happy about this result, it’s what we’ve been gunning for since the last race weekend – with the gap to 2^nd in points, it was my mission to seal 3^rd overall in the driver’s titles. Also, I made a new personal best in terms of lap time in qualifying, to get into the coveted ‘37s’. But I know I am still capable of more, and there is still so much to work on. The point is to keep improving, and I think I’ve shown to everyone, all the people that have ever doubted my abilities, that no matter what, I will keep improving, whatever it takes. The only one who will set a limit for you is yoursellf. With faith in God, and perseverance, you can be a Champion, no matter what is your goal in life."
