Attorney Andrew Sapinski Joins Board of Governors

MILWAUKEE - Dec. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- The Masonic Learning Center of Milwaukee has recently asked Attorney Andrew Sapinski to join the Board of Governor’s so that he can have increased involvement in the center’s future. The Masonic Learning Center is a non-profit organization that provides professional treatment to children with dyslexia. The center doesn’t charge the students, offering its services completely free.  Currently, there are 21 tutors that are trained directly by the center and they serve over 50 children The Masonic Learning Center also tries to increase public awareness of dyslexia and supports research on the subject.

Attorney Sapinski began volunteering with the center by helping to coordinate the J. Michael Koscinski Teddy Bear Golf Classic, which is the largest fundraising event for the center. He was especially interested in their mission and its impact on the community. In September, Attorney Sapinski was asked to join the Board of Governors, which involves attending monthly meetings and making decisions about the government of the Milwaukee Learning Center, including policies, framework, goals and direction.

He finds the work greatly rewarding, commenting, “The learning center makes a dramatic difference in the lives of its students.  The children who enter the program typically struggle with reading, writing and schoolwork. This often results in behavioral issues.  After they go through the program, a transformation occurs and they typically excel in school.  Their self-esteem improves along with their personal relationships with their teachers, classmates and family members.”

The Milwaukee Learning Center is just one of 50 locations run by The Children’s Learning Centers, Inc. The Milwaukee branch is located at 790 N.
