Follow on Google News | Utah Ruling on Polygamy, Sets the Pace for Total Redefinition of MarriageStars of TLC Reality Show, Challenge the Courts and Win on Polygamy

However less than six months after the court's ruling, marriage receives yet another blow. On December 13, 2013 a Utah judge ruled that the polygamous relationship between Kody Brown and his four Sister Wives is legal. Audiences may be familiar with the Brown and his multiple wives because of their reality TV show Sister Wives, which airs on TLC. Kody Brown challenged the polygamy laws in Utah and won. In an NPR interview in March (http://www.npr.org/ Turley’s argument is based on unsound, unproven unrealistic logic. Redefining marriage as anything other than a union between one man and one woman, tares at the most fundamental building block of human society. Redefining marriage will eventually open the definition up to any combination of multiple groups of consenting adults as the Utah case proves. Turley went on to say that accepting Brown’s polygamous relationship represented a “grander more magnificent trend in the law." I believe it represents a dangerous trend in the law.
