Blood Donation Camp at MALCO Energy Limited

SALEM, India - Dec. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- MALCO Energy Limited, a unit of Vedanta Group organized a Blood Donation Camp at Malco Clinic, Pudhusampalli in association with Blood Bank, Govt. District Headquarters Hospital, Mettur on 17.12.2013 (Tuesday).

A forum Malco Blood Donors Association (MBDA) was formed. The gesture was made under the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, through which the company focuses on improving community welfare through various programs like education, health, infrastructure, women empowerment, livelihood and environment. Malco Officials Mr R Kandasamy - Head HR, Mr K Kathiresan - Head Powerplant, Dr Manoj Krishnan - Medical Officer, Dr T Devarajalu - Principal, Malco Vidyalaya inaugurated this camp and handed over the contact details of Malco Blood Donors Association to Blood Bank, Govt. District Headquarters Hospital, Mettur and pledged support for emergency blood donation.

50 of Malco Employees, Malco Vidyalaya Staff, Contract Employees & Community donated blood in this camp. ICTC Counseling and Testing for HIV / AIDS was also done in the camp. Dr Aathimoolam, Superintendent of Govt. District Headquarters Hospital - Mettur handed over the appreciation letter to MALCO Energy Limited for helping the Blood Bank.
