Travelodge Hotel Saskatoon Takes Environment to Heart with Green Initiative

SASKATOON, Saskatchewan - Dec. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- A 4 Green Key rating demonstrates that Travelodge Hotel Saskatoon has shown national industry leadership and commitment to protecting the environment through its wide-ranging policies and practices. The hotel has mature programs in place that involve management, employees, guests, and the public, and which have shown substantial and measurable results.

Specifically, the property has installed more than 50 solar panel collectors to heat the hotel’s domestic hot water system and main pool, installed high efficiency HVAC units and laundry equipment, restored more than 90 per cent of the lighting in its outlets with higher energy efficient equipment, replaced over 75 per cent of its chemical cleaners with non-toxic alternatives, installed low flow toilets in 75 per cent of the guest rooms.
