Now in his 4th season with the Palm Beach Symphony, Tebar oversees all the musical aspects and artistic decisions of the organization and will be conducting all of the anniversary performances, as well. His appointment to the directorship position by the Board of the Orchestra made him the youngest Spanish conductor taking charge of an American symphony orchestra. Still yet, he is younger than the 40 year old Palm Beach institution itself. Tebar also serves as Music Director of the Florida Grand Opera and Associate Conductor of the Santo Domingo Music Festival in the Dominican Republic making him one of the youngest opera conductors in America and the first Spanish conductor of an opera company in North America. He was recently honored with the 2013 Henry C. Clark Conductor of the Year Award, a distinction he first received in 2010. With a vivacious style, Tebar has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting Spanish conductors of his generation. Returning from a recent European tour, Tebar earned rave reviews from critics and fascinated audiences in music houses of Bulgaria, Spain, Armenia, Turkey, Russia and The Netherlands conducting concerts and operas which included Lucia di Lammermoor at La Coruña Opera Festival, Kremlin Palace in Moscow and Concertgebouw Hall in Amsterdam. Some of these performances included collaborations with famous sopranos Montserrat Caballe and Angela Gheorghiu. Now, Tebar brings back the freshness and excitement for a lively new season of performances in Palm Beach. “We are pleased to have Maestro Tebar return as our Artistic & Music Director and look forward to a spectacular 40th anniversary season,” noted Dale McNulty, Palm Beach Symphony Board President. The Symphony performs in a variety of historically important venues on the island of Palm Beach, including Bethesda-By- “Tebar has used his immense talent to uniquely craft each of our upcoming concerts. Our audiences are assured to discover the energy and be captivated by the passion that Tebar instills in every performance,” For more information on tickets and membership opportunities, please contact the Palm Beach Symphony at 561.655.2657 or info@palmbeachsymphony.org. ### The mission of the Palm Beach Symphony Society is to engage, educate and entertain the greater community of the Palm Beaches through live performances of inspiring orchestral music.
