Follow on Google News | Mandela’s Personal Exhibit To America Produced By Detroit Attorney Premieres In U.S. Jan 2014By: Keeper of the Word Foundation Reed’s exhibit work presently resides in 16 schools and 4 museums and will premiere at the Muhammad Ali Center located in Louisville, Kentucky on January 17, 2014 (in 3 weeks). Reed was appointed the guest curator of Mr. Mandela, the first international exhibit of America and South Africa exhibit alone with Michigan State University (MSU) endorsed and sponsored by US Dept. of Education, American Association of Museum, and U.S. Cultural Affairs. The exhibit is anchored by “Global Lessons” and themes of letters of two iconic figures, Nelson Mandela and Rosa Parks. MSU credited Reed as the visionary and creator of the concept from Mrs. Parks’ letter and the concept was merged when Mandela’s team saw Reed’s concept on Mrs. Parks. Nelson Mandela, Bishop TuTu, and President Obama presented opening remarks for the exhibit premiere. Mandela stated he was “ honored” by the exhibit his complete remarks are attached, and President Obama. “The experience of taking the long walk and talking with this world leaders was a humbly experience and he was extremely attentive.” His wife Graca Machel was very grateful of the presentation and broke protocol and hugged me to show her appreciation about the exhibit” said Reed.
