The Westin Nova Scotian Supports Ronald McDonald House this Holiday Season

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia - Dec. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- For over 10 years, the Westin Nova Scotian has hosted a number of families from the Ronald McDonald House at the downtown Halifax hotel. This is one of the many ways that the Westin Nova Scotian gives back throughout the year.

“The holiday season is all about giving and we look forward to hosting these families again at the hotel,” says Guido Kerpel, General Manager of the Westin Nova Scotian. “These families have numerous stresses in their lives and we’re humbled to provide a home away from home over the holidays.”

The Ronald McDonald House will be closing on Sunday, December 22^nd and re-opening on Tuesday, December 31^st. As with every holiday season, the Westin Nova Scotian will host the Ronald McDonald House families that are in need of accommodations over this time period.

“We’re committed to supporting our communities and this is a great way to celebrate a wonderful year of contributions to our local charities,” says Kerpel. “The Westin is happy to be a part of this for another year and continue on with this special tradition.”

The Ronald McDonald House is dedicated to helping seriously ill or disabled children by providing them and their families a caring and supportive home away from home.The house ensures that the changing needs of children and families receiving pediatric services are met with people and programs.
