Douglas Riddell and Bridget Purdue Riddell Listed as Ohio Rising Stars by SuperLawyers Magazine

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Dec. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- Riddell Law is proud to announce that Attorney Douglas Riddell and Attorney Bridget Purdue Riddell were recently recognized as 2014 Ohio Rising Stars by SuperLawyers Magazine for 2014.  The 2014 Ohio Rising Stars list is also published in Cincinnati Magazine, Cleveland Magazine, Columbus Monthly and Inside Business.

The SuperLawyers Rising Stars selection process evaluates lawyers based upon several indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement, including: experience; honors and awards, bar involvement and leadership; scholarship and professional writings; community service and pro bono activities; and other outstanding achievements.

Rising Stars are the top up-and-coming attorneys who are no more than 40 years old or who have been practicing for no more than 10 years. Less than 2.5 percent of the attorneys in Ohio are named to the Ohio Rising Stars list.

Douglas Riddell, the founder of Riddell Law LLC, has been named a 2014 Ohio Rising Star for Criminal Defense: DUI Defense.  Doug was recognized in 2014 as one of only four Ohio Rising Stars for Criminal Defense: DUI/DWI.

Mr. Riddell focuses his practice in the areas of criminal and traffic defense, including DUI/OVI and defense of criminal misdemeanor charges.  Mr. Riddell is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Columbus Bar Association and the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys.  He received his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.

Bridget Purdue Riddell has been named a 2014 Ohio Rising Star for Appellate practice.  Ms. Riddell is one of only ten Ohio Rising Stars recognized for Appellate Law.  She focuses her practice on appellate law as well and criminal and traffic defense, including defense of DUI/OVI and other criminal misdemeanor charges.

This is the fourth year in a row that Ms. Riddell has been included on the Rising Stars list.  In October of 2013, Ms. Riddell argued before the Ohio Supreme Court in State v. Romage, Supreme Court Case Nos. 2012-1958/2012-2042.

Ms. Riddell is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Columbus Bar Association. She received her B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and her J.D. from the Ohio State Moritz College of Law.
