This year’s show will deliver more outdoor related sport exhibitors than any show in Texas and more bulk tackle than any fishing and outdoor show in the U.S. In addition, attendees will be able have the opportunity to purchase thousands of items discounted below wholesale prices including guns, ammunition, hunting knives, outdoor supplies and apparel. A featured attraction of this year’s show is fishing legend Jimmy Houston, who will be doing a presentation on the main stage, Sunday, Jan. 12 at 11 a.m. followed by a meet and greet from 12 p.m. -2 p.m.

Anglers will be able to improve their knowledge and techniques by participating in numerous educational presentations by a stellar lineup of world famous pro fishermen including Bassmaster’s Pros Brent Chapman, Mike Iaconelli, Alton Jones, Chris Lane, Mike Kernan, Brian Clark, Gary Klein, Scott Dean, Cody Ryan, Two-time Crappie Tour Champion Todd Huckabee, Jarad Roper, Cat Fish legend Danny King, Trophy Bass guide Chuck Justice and many more. In addition, the Bud Light Team Trail Championship Live Weigh-in will take place on Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m.  The Bud Light Stage will be outside the show for the public to view the live weigh-in.

Hunters will also have the opportunity to increase their knowledge through various presentations including the legendary archer Frank Addington, who will educate and entertain by performing his “Aspirin Buster Archery Show.” You don’t want to miss Frank shooting an aspirin out of the air with his bow from behind his back. Listen to Antler Dog’s Roger Sigler demonstrate how to teach your dog to hunt deer sheds and outfitter Harry Wood share how to find monster elk and mule deer in the Midwest.

Don’t miss the Worlds Outstanding Whitetail KINGS Display with some of largest whitetail ever recorded.  Attendees can bring deer mounts or antlers for Boone & Crockett/Pope & Young’s official free scoring and display on the Big Buck Wall for chances to win cash prizes by the People’s Choice Contest.

There will also be plenty of family fun including Jason Reynold’s and his Fetch-n-Fish’s High Flyin’ Retrievers Dog Show off his Bass Tub.  Bob Steele will be on hand to present his Great Bear Show, with his fully trained grizzly bears. And kids will get a chance to test their fishing skills at the Army Bass Angler’s Kids Fishing Pond, where every kid is guaranteed to catch a fish. Other kids and family fun includes paintball, mechanical bull riding, and bungee bounces and The Outdoor Zone Austin Radio, will be doing seminars on youth outdoor education.  Friday, Jan. 10th is Kids Night beginning at 6:00pm with the first 500 kids getting free products from participating companies.
