Daystar Launches in Thailand
- Dec. 12, 2013
-- Daystar Television recently announced a major development in network expansion. Thailand, a country with a Christian population of 1%, will now be airing Daystar across the entire nation through Cable Thai Holding (CTH) on channel number 471. This new development will add 2 million plus homes to the network’s global reach.
Thailand is a predominantly Buddhist nation, with statistics ranging from .7% to 1.1% of the population claiming Christianity as their religion. As such, the opportunity to spread the Gospel to such a largely unreached population is a source of great excitement for the network. “It’s amazing,” says Marcus Lamb, Founder and CEO of Daystar Television Network, “God is really doing something.”
Daystar has a heart for Southeast Asia, and has had the opportunity to sow into this region of the world before. Just this past September, Daystar donated $10,000 to Sarah DeLane’s ministry, Compassion In Action – an organization working to assist Karen refuges living on the boarder of Thailand and Burma.
Daystar Television Network is an award winning, faith-based network dedicated to spreading the Gospel 24 hours a day, seven days a week – all around the globe, through all media formats possible. Reaching over 104 million households in the United States and over 2 billion people worldwide, Daystar is the fastest growing faith-based television network in the world.
