SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Dec. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- AGAINST STARLIGHT by Anton Knox Elder is a collection of poems that tell the story of the heart and life of Jesus. There are many people today who are sad, detached, hopeless, in pain, and broken—in a sense, invisible. They struggle with pain and hurt on the inside, while looking fine on the outside. They suffer alone, bound in darkness and consumed by hopelessness. But no one is invisible to Christ, who chose to be tortured and crucified for our pain and sorrow.

AGAINST STARLIGHT by Anton Knox Elder shows that Christ wants all to have the freedom to choose His love by accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior, and to be transformed into a world of love and forgiveness. Our gifts can open hearts to receive love, joy, and peace, filling others with the light of Jesus, which will cause their lives to be transformed. When you read this book and experience these poems, you will be moved out of the darkness, and into His marvelous light.

About the Author:
Anton Knox Elder had written poetry since he was twelve and his love for nature, life, and the stars came out in his writing. Knox graduated from the University of West Georgia in 1976 with a master’s degree in psychology and worked in psychological services for seventeen years. In 1993, he was in an accident; his injuries produced short-term memory loss and chronic pain. For nearly twenty years after his accident he was unable to write and could only read for brief periods. On his journey back from darkness into the light, Knox developed a very real and personal relationship with Christ. It is through this relationship that Knox began to receive healing and his poems began to flow again. Knox and his wife, Susan, make their home in Georgia. They have two grown daughters, Susan Beth and Kattie Maurine.
