FLORENCE, Italy - Dec. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Italian Unions fight to keep the Vasari Corridor public and free of charge is going on.

Against the plan to privatize the monument and outsource the tours, Florence national museums staff members (from Uffizi, Pitti, Accademia, San Marco etc.), on December 8th, Uffizi Square, offered citizens and visitors free of charge Art History talks, educational plays for children, cakes and warm drinks. At the Unions stand, people could sign a petition to the Italian Ministry of Culture. In a few hours of campaign, including people who signed on Change.org, supporters have been over 2000.

Italian Minister of Culture. Mr. Massimo Bray, twitted: "all my sympathy for Florence museums staff fighting to defend the Constitution".

Professor Salvatore Settis, world-known archaeologist and former Director of Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa, the most prestigious Italian University Education Institute, supported the protest on Italian media.
