DETROIT - Dec. 7, 2013 - PRLog -- On December 10, 2013 seven area Cruise Planner franchise owners, in partnership with Royal Caribbean, will be sponsoring a Grant Challenge Night at Detroit Public Television ( 1 Clover Court, Wixom, MI) at 6:00 pm.  During this sponsorship / Grant Challenge event, Cruise Planners owners, staff and family will be manning the phones with Royal Caribbean staff to take pledge donations from DPTV viewers.  In connection with this event, an exclusive 13 night Alaskan Cruisetour aboard the Radiance of Seas has been organized and will be promoted in connection with the event.  A gift of $100 from each person who books and sails on this cruise/tour will be donated back to Detroit Public Television.

Owners of the Cruise Planners franchises said, “We are excited to offer such an incredible trip for Detroit Public Television viewers.  As local business owners we want to support DPTV in their continued efforts to educate and provide programing in multiple subject matters, which include traveling.”

During the Grant Challenge night the Alaskan cruise will be highlighted in addition to DPTV’s regular programing.  Franchise owners participating in this event are Ann Marie Vis, Carol & Dick Schraeger, Lisa Mattern, Dianna & Howard Linnabary, Cathy Bilinski, TC & Jamie Clements and Laura Wake.  Additionally, TC Clements of Cruise Planners and Faith Sutkus, Business Development Manager for Royal Caribbean, will discuss how the two companies, which have a long and strong relationship, have come together to support DPTV.
