McGladrey Congratulates McGladrey Classic Birdies Fore Love Winner Gavin Martin

CHICAGO - Dec. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- McGladrey LLP, the nation's leading provider of assurance, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market, and title sponsor of The McGladrey Classic, congratulates Birdies Fore Love (BFL) Winner Gavin Martin.

Martin, who is a transfer pricing manager for McGladrey based out of the firm's Boston office, won the worldwide contest by most closely guessing the number of birdies that would be made during the 2013 McGladrey Classic at Sea Island. To enter the contest, golf fans around the world submitted their guesses, along with a monetary donation. (One-hundred percent of all donations went to designated charitable organizations.)

As title sponsor of The McGladrey Classic (http://www.mcgladreyclassic.com/), McGladrey encouraged employees to participate in BFL by making donations to local charitable organizations of their choice in the communities where they live and work, and to encourage clients to do the same. While the total number of monetary donations raised through BFL is still being calculated, preliminary numbers indicate that McGladrey employees and clients raised an estimated $430,000 for children- and family-based nonprofits nationwide.

"Participating in Birdies Fore Love was a great opportunity for McGladrey employees to demonstrate our firm's core value of stewardship," said Chris Parrish, a supervisor in consulting services with McGladrey, and national leader of the firm's BFL efforts. "It also provided us with an opportunity to partner with many of our clients who also value stewardship, enabling us to work together to help those in need."
