AZA Earns Selection to Texas Verdicts Hall of Fame

(http://www.azalaw.com/), or AZA, has been named to the inaugural Texas Verdicts Hall of Fame by Texas Lawyer newspaper for winning one of the top intellectual property verdicts in the state.

AZA’s victory was the fifth largest on a list of the top verdicts from 2010-2012 as reported to VerdictSearch and published by Texas Lawyer in its Top Texas Verdicts special supplements. AZA and the other honorees were recognized during a recent induction ceremony in Dallas hosted by the newspaper.

AZA was named to the exclusive list based on its work as co-counsel for Versata Software Inc. in a patent infringement trial over pricing technology that targeted global software company SAP America Inc. and its German-based parent company. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit upheld the jury verdict, which resulted in a mammoth $391 million judgment in Versata Software Inc. v. SAP America Inc. and SAP AG.
