By: NBV Enterprise Solutions Nick’s determination and flexible approach impressed his NBV business advisor, Craig Pearson, so much so that he put him forward for the regional Best Business to Business (B2B) Start-up award. Craig Pearson, NBV business advisor said: “Whilst developing his business idea Nick was aware that he faced a lot of competition but his desire to offer prospective customers a service based around their needs, and at times and locations to suit them, meant he is differentiated himself from the more established players.” Ready for Business is a start-up programme supported by the Government’s Regional Growth Fund, Barclays and delivered by the Cavendish Consortium - a partnership between England’s leading enterprise agencies – providing business start-up support across England. Since its launch last summer, the programme has created more than 2,500 new jobs nationwide and has aims to assist a further 6,000 businesses. Alongside twenty-two other regional winners exceling one the following categories - Best Growth Potential Start-Up, Best Business to Business (B2B) Start-Up and Best Business to Consumer (B2C) Start-Up, Nick travelled to the House of Commons to compete for the national prize. “Winning the regional Ready for Business East Midlands B2B Start-Up Award and being nominated for the national awards shows how far Nick and SNP have come in a short space of time, “Craig continues. “Nick’ Attending the awards in London, Roger Trueman, Director of Operations at NBV said: “We are delighted to see what our clients can achieve in a short timeframe. It’s a testament to the hard work and innovation of new entrepreneurs in the region.” Nick Pridden finally added: “SNP Training is very proud to be nominated and represent the East Midlands in the national awards.
