SAN FRANCISCO - Dec. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- “San Francisco, CA – 4 December 2013 –“

A dramatic narrative feature, 22 Fillmore is an edgy story about Jeff, a desperate drug addict who’s in a downward spiral in life. One night he takes a frenzied ride on a rough, inner city San Francisco bus line, the “22 Fillmore” and meets three enlightened characters. They whiz back and forth in time to teach him lessons in hope and forgiveness. This bold, graphic film promises to push the boundaries of the cinematic experience by exploring controversial themes of drug addiction and physical abuse, but wraps it up with a positive, transformative spin. Writer-Director, Paul Oja describes it as, “a modern, gritty, A Christmas Carol - on crack!”.

San Francisco/Bay Area Indie “godmother” Movie Producer, Debbie Brubaker has exclaimed, “It’s a wild, trippy ride, and I love it because it never stops!” A reputable force in the industry, Debbie has put together a stellar team for 22 Fillmore, including Casting Director, Nina Henninger, Director of Photography, Svetlana Cvetko, and Production Designer, Doug Freeman. Together, their combined experience includes dozens of award winning feature movies and documentaries, which include: Blue Jasmine, Inside Job, Fruitvale Station, Inequality For All, La Mission, The Darwin Awards, and others. Attached to star as the antagonist, Jeff’s Dad, is James Russo, a prolific character actor with over 100 feature movies to his credit.

The team has advanced the project forward and officially announced a new crowd-sourced fundraising campaign on December 5, 2013 via Indiegogo. They have also partnered with IndieReign, an online independent film marketplace. Together, these two platforms will support to push the project closer into production. 22 Fillmore has also recently launched a freshly designed website and new profiles on Facebook, Twitter, and Google + to engage their audience. This feature fantasy drama aims to begin shooting in Summer of 2014 and will hit the streets of the San Francisco/Bay Area to capture this transcendental journey on camera soon!
