Dr. Mahua Mukherjee has for thirty years, played the major role in reviving the lost art of Gaudiya Nritya, the classical dance of Bengal. Gadurr Media, a Kolkata-based NewMedia and animation company, has been closely involved with Dr. Mukherjee in using the power of digital media to spread the awareness of the this art form, as part of their social responsibility initiatives.

We at Gadurr Media, in association with Gaudiya Nritya Bharati, are organizing a celebration- Gaudiya Nrityarpan, to honor Dr. Mukherjee on her birthday on 9th December, 2013. On this happy occasion, we will be inaugurating the world’s first comprehensive web portal and social platform on Gaudiya Nritya.

Gaudiya Nritya is the classical dance of Bengal. It derived its name from Gaur, or ancient Bengal, and the dance form was revived by Guru Sreemati Dr. Mahua Mukherjee after three decades of hard work and perseverance. She has performed Gaudiya Nritya at numerous festivals and occasions in the United States, Europe and Asia.  Dr. Mukherjee is currently the Head of the Department of Dance at Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata.
