New book by: Greg McKinney, titled: Barberetta

Action Packed With Vivid Drawings E-Book Barberetta Impacts Readers Like a .38 to the Groin Illustrated and written by Greg McKinney words and pictures brew a perfect storm of intellectual and emotional impact.

Dec. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Warning:  Not to be read by the closed minded - should be on the label of this saucy and penetrating storyline of an unforgettable blonde bombshell character gracing the pages of an E-Book as she fights the mob to save a young girl.

Written in as a storyline embellished with drawings, not a comic book, the author chose this format because of the ability to convey his mind’s images.  “There is not enough room in comic strips to tell my stories, and screenplays don’t have the graphics,” said Greg McKinney during a recent interview with Pacific Book Review.

Most impressively, McKinney studied art so he could get his images in his mind to be seen by others.  “I wanted to tell the story how I envisioned it, not how somebody else does. So I studied at JOE KURBURT’S GRAPHIC ART SCHOOL (he is one of the Kings of comics) and earned a degree in penciling so I could draw what was in my head,” said the author.

This E-book is a fast read written in first person dialogue.  The comic/graphics enhance the story to make it come alive in vivid detail.

Greg McKinney does a good job with this, however be warned this is not a book for the judgmental or squeamish or morally scrupulous.  The setting is mobster land with a theme of “kill or be killed.”

It should also speak to mystery detective types, and any not opposed to an in cold-blood type of fantasy.  So, if you dare take on BARBERETTA, I suggest you fasten your seat belt and prepare for a lusty, yet wild and violent ride.

“Thinking up the story is the easy part, putting it all together is when the real work begins. BARBERETTA took 800 to 1000 hours to complete. But it is rewarding when you see your story come to life and when somebody has fun reading it.”

Available online at Barnes & Noble.
