U.S. PIRG Education Fund wishes to issue a correction to the public and media for an error in  Trouble in Toyland, the 28th Annual Survey of Toy Safety, a report released annually describing potentially hazardous toys discovered by our researchers. U.S. PIRG Education Fund unintentionally distributed an error in the 28th Annual Trouble in Toyland report (http://www.uspirgedfund.org/reports/usf/trouble-toyland-2013), released November 26th 2013. On page 29 of the report (now corrected online), the following toy found to contain lead was erroneously reported as for retail at Dollar General:

Label: Statutory small parts warning; Ages 3 and up

Type of Hazard: Lead poses chronic health hazards to children

Why toy is a problem: All rings tested positive for lead, ranging up to 200 ppm

Manufactured by: Greenbrier International

Toy Store: Dollar Tree

This toy is for retail at Dollar Tree, not Dollar General. No products from Dollar General where discussed in the report.
