VAN WERT, Ohio - Dec. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- Braun Industries is pleased to announce the release of their newest ambulance model, The Responder. The unit made its debut at the AAA 2013 Conference & Tradeshow on November 18, 2013 in Las Vegas, NV, where it was well received. Show attendees got a first look inside the unit, which is expected to be a very popular model with private EMS companies and government entities alike.

“We are extremely excited to release our new model, The Responder! In an effort to meet our customers’ requests, we took their input and ideas and developed this model. This model has safety, ergonomics, and new innovations built in as standard features throughout,” says Braun Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Chad Brown.

The Responder is a 12.5’ module mounted on the Freightliner Sprinter chassis. This compact, quality ambulance focuses on safety and storage. It also features an ergonomic design and layout, intended to make it easier for EMS crew to work in.

When it comes to safety, The Responder begins with Braun’s SolidBody Construction. This means the unit is built as one, integrated module from .125” flat-sheet marine grade aluminum. The roof, sides, floor, and doors are all constructed from brake formed parts with fully welded seams. The lack of a separate extruded frame means reduced weight and added strength. Additional safety features include an isolated O2 compartment compliant with NFPA 1917, and forward facing seating. The forward facing seating has been especially popular with customers, who feel it brings a new level of safety to the industry.

The 12.5’ module length maximizes storage space. The door-forward design optimizes the interior, leaving more room for equipment and supplies. The fold-up seat cushion in the EVS 4-point curbside seating also creates extra space, allowing more room for crew to work and maneuver around the patient cot. Those that have been able to tour the new model have also commented on the impressive amount of storage space on the street side wall.

Ensuring that the unit is easy to work in was also a key component of its design. Focused on ergonomics, equipment storage placement makes it easy to reach things. The EZ Glide sliding side entry door has a 4” lowered entry height, improving entry into the unit. Clean sweep interior sealed aluminum cabinets provide enhanced storage capabilities and are easy to clean, and a MasterTech IV electrical system makes module controls a breeze.

“Our newest model, The Responder, delivers a premium product in a compact design. Delivering quality is what we do…it is embedded as a core element of who we are as a family, and as a business. For over forty years, Braun has been focused on building relationships with our customers, identifying their needs, and offering solutions that are Built For Life,” says Braun President, Kim Braun.
