Vacation rentals in Minsk, Belarus
Rewind a decade or so, and most people outside of Europe were completely unaware of Belarus; dismissing it in their minds as a ex-soviet state with nothing particular to tempt the traveler to spend a vacation there.
Belarus is a land of startling natural beauty. Of its 80,000 square miles, over 40% is still forested; and the country also boasts 4 National Parks and over 400 special nature reserves. As if this wasn’t impressive enough, the landscape also holds 10,000 lakes; which create a wonderful backdrop for any vacation, as do the 20,000 rivers that criss-cross the terrain. Many visitors are drawn to the country for the wild inhabitants as much as the landscape; and keen wildlife spotters often head to the forests to search for some of Belarus’s more iconic residents, such as the Brown Bear and European Lynx.
