SOUTH PASADENA, Calif. - Nov. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- The X-Treme XB-305SLA Electric Mountain Bicycle is a model packed with features that knowledgeable budget conscious yet performance caring female riders can fully appreciate. This model is the newest addition to UrbanScooters.com's line up of electric bikes.

It features a step-through frame made of high quality steel, 100 percent steel frame equivalent to 18”. Coming in at a mere 65 lbs., the bike can carry a maximum rider weight of 350 lbs. The front fork shocks can take an impact, and together they provide a comfortable, easy riding experience for any female rider.

At a mere 63 lbs., the XB-305-SLA is 72” long, with a 25” width at the handlebars, and a height of 42”, and can accommodate riders up to 350 lbs. A low profile, super soft double rubber spring seat is fully adjustable from 37.75” to 45.75”.

Two 12 volt, 12 amp sealed lead acid batteries provide the juice for the X-Treme XB-305SLA's 300 watt brushless hub mounted motor, located in the center of the rear wheel. There are no chains or belts to be concerned with, as the bike's raw power is applied directly to the rear wheel.

The XB-305SLA can carry a rider at speeds up to 20 mph, with a range of 10 miles on a single charge, though pedaling will greatly increase the range. The battery pack is designed as a quick change one, so that swap outs are fast.

The 7-speed Shimano Tourney gears and shifter work together with a TX-31 rear derailleur and gearbox, allowing the rider to pedal, to activate the Twist and Go (TAG) system which activates the motor when the throttle is turned, or the Power Assist (PA) mode, which can make pedaling easier as the engine comes on to provide a boost at every rotation of the pedals.

Front and rear caliper brakes bring the XB-305SLA from X-Treme to a halt when needed, applying pressure to the double wall alloy rims that have high quality 26” x 1.95” Kenda pneumatic tires mounted on them. When you need to remove the wheels, it's a snap with the quick release front hub and the quick release sealed rear wheel hub motor.

Other features include a switch ignition, front and rear mud guards, a battery indicator, front and rear spoke reflectors, a kick stand, and a tool kit.
