1-Page, the Next Generation Human Capital Solution that helps candidates to go beyond the resume.

Last week, at the SYNC 2013 Conference held by PingWest in San Francisco, 12 selected startups from all over the world, pitched their product demo in front of a panel of VCs.

1-Page was one of those companies : “I like this company!  ” one of the judge, Nick Adams, from AME CloudVD, told me immediately after 1-Page’s COO, Karthik Manimozhi, introduced their company and product.

1-Page is a talent acquisition platform designed to match enterprises’ needs and individuals’ aspirations. The core of 1-Page’s approach is summarized by one key concept – the 1-Page Proposal. Job seekers’ main goal is not to overwhelm companies with resumes, but to pitch their unique ideas and value proposition, showing how they would solve companies’ key challenges to achieve their business strategic objectives problems.

Individuals who want to work for a specific company can create their personal profile on 1-Page and write their 1-Page Job Proposal.  The system is designed to help candidates to focus on five key areas while writing their proposal: candidate’s unique idea;  implementation strategy; financials; background; motivation.

The system is designed to help job candidates to show their unique value and skills, as well as their drive and motivation to get the job.

1-Page’s first platform was designed to help individuals as a B2C service but as the COO, Karthik Manimozhi, tells to PingWest, after being in the individual market for a short period of time, companies started contacting us asking for more 1-Page Proposals and less resumes as they understood the value of the tool to improve recruitment efficiency.

With 1-Page, companies engage candidates to go beyond the resume, competing for jobs based on their ability to solve real-time challenges to achieve business strategic objectives. Candidate’s ability to innovate and solve the challenge on a 1-Page Proposal is at the core of the process. 1-Page gamifies talent acquisition and it provides Social Intelligence and Big Data Analytics for hiring managers to source ideas and attract, engage and retain the most talented workforce.

Since formally launched in September, 1-Page already has 12 enterprise customers, including big customers such like BevMO! and First Republic Bank; the company has also major tech companies in the advance pipeline and big names will be announced soon.

This platform reduces the impact of the resume in the recruitment process, and focuses more on the real value that candidates have to offer to the company. Karthik Manimozhi said that the current business model is based on companies subscribing the service with multiple options that include packages of challenges to be purchased and shared with all the job applicants as well as managed service that include advanced automated scoring of all the proposals received for every role.
