85% of Brits visit the same 4 US destinations

Nov. 27, 2013 - PRLog -- Around 3.7 million of us visited the US during 2012 but around 85% of British visitors go to one of 4 destinations:  Florida (mainly Orlando) New York, California and Nevada (mainly to Las Vegas.)  www.inspireourtrip.com is a website aimed at helping independent travellers discover more of America without having to wade through endless travel forums and guide books.  The site cuts the waffle by incorporating concise destination guides with ideas for road trips and beach breaks as well as practical advice from how to save money on your car hire to surviving a long haul flight with young children.

Inspire Our Trip was set up by two friends, both experienced globe trotters, Louise Marling and Anna Pounds, who found the time and effort required to plan each of their own trips increasingly frustrating.   Anna says “We thought there must be a better way than spending hours and hours on review sites or reading through various guidebooks, so in effect we created inspireourtrip.com so that others don’t have to do all that hard work, and still potentially miss the best or most important bits”.  Louise adds “It’s meant to be the type of advice you’d get if you asked a friend so the idea is that you can decide whether a destination is right for you in the time it takes to drink a cup of coffee.”
