The sky’s the limit for Stoneham dealer Dobsons’ new orangery showroom

Nov. 27, 2013 - PRLog -- Stoneham Kitchens has collaborated with its 78-year-old Hertfordshire dealership, Dobsons, to create a new orangery showroom with a striking Stoneham display. Opened by the Mayor of Broxbourne, the extension to the showroom is designed to showcase a contemporary look that can be wholly replicated at home.

As property prices continue to rise, industry figures show that 66 per cent of people are more likely to improve their homes than move and with the recent relaxation of planning laws to permit a 4m extension on a detached house, there has been a surge in the popularity of extensions. By building a modern orangery to house a fully functioning bespoke kitchen, Dobsons wanted to show customers what was possible, as Sales Director and Designer, Matthew Rowlandson explains:

“Rather than build an extension and just place a sofa and a TV on the wall, we wanted to demonstrate how customers could make the most of their new orangery and free up existing space in their home. Everything had to be practical enough to offer to the customer; if it’s the right size and fits their space they can visualise for real are much more confident about making their purchase.”

The kitchen blends Stoneham’s Anthracite-finished Mode TT and Fusion TT ranges incorporating on-trend grey tones. Silver Birch Corian worktops are featured on the island surrounded by a 10mm glass breakfast bar designed to appear as if it’s floating, and an LED illuminated glass splash-back completes the contemporary look. The latest in appliance technology includes ‘Generation 6000’ Miele Ovens in Obsidian Black, and Miele’s Knock2Open integrated dishwasher.
