Nov. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- New Jersey-- November 25, 2013-- Emil Shakov, M.D, F.A.C.S. is a board certified general surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  He received his medical degree, MD, from the American University of the Caribbean and received an honorary Masters of Science for exceptional performance in his basic sciences.

Dr. Shakov completed his surgical internship at Monmouth Medical Center.  He went on to finish his surgical training at Seton Hall University School of Health and Medical Sciences, where he held the title of Chief Surgical Resident.  He completed his fellowship in Advanced GI, Bariatrics, and Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) at The Valley Hospital.

Prior to opening The Youth Fountain, he was a member of two distinct practices.  The first practice specialized in acute care surgery (emergency surgery) with a focus on the elderly.  The second practice specialized in high-volume Bariatric surgery with an intense focus on successful post-procedural care and a leader in the Lap-Band® procedure.

He continued to further his training and education at The American Academy of Procedural Medicine and The American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine where he mastered aesthetic procedures, anti-aging, and medical weight-loss.
