American Paper & Twine Teacher of the Week – Week Thirteen

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Nov. 25, 2013 - PRLog -- “This Teacher of the Week was nominated by her husband Jeff Neeley,” said Lonnie Spivak, American Paper & Twine eCommerce and Marketing Manager. “We selected Mrs. Neeley as this week’s winner because of her dedication to her community and the children she teaches.”

Rai Lynne Neeley is a 2nd grade teacher at Gower Elementary School in Nashville, Tennessee. “Mrs. Neeley recently gave her classroom, which she spent many hours and lots of her own funds to prepare for her class, to a new kindergarten class that had to be added,” said husband Jeff Neeley. “She did this to help the kindergarten class transition smoothly and have a room with a bathroom. She had to stay until nearly midnight every night for a week to paint and decorate a new room (at her expense) and move all of the class materials, books etc. to the new classroom.”

Each week during the Titans’ season, submissions are reviewed to find exceptional teachers. The winning teachers receive a $400 gift basket full of supplies for their classroom, and a new winner is announced every Tennessee Titans game. At the end of the season a ‘Teacher of the Year’ is selected from the Teacher of the Week winners. This deserving teacher will receive an award, a gift basket of school supplies (worth approximately $800) and tickets to the December 29th game vs. the Houston Texans.
