The Berthoud brewery is donating $1/beer sold to the Movember Foundation.
Owner of City Star Whitney Taylor says, "When taproom regular Dan Riffell with his Movember team Soup Strainer Society approached me about hosting a Movember event in 2012 I didn't know much about the cause, but I knew facial hair and beer go hand in hand. Now in our second year of hairy shenanigans, I'm proud City Star supports the Movember Foundation and encourages a conversation about men's health. I'll be sporting a pink moustache at the event!" The panel of City Star Mo Competition judges features local Berthoud Barber, Sheila Haberkon, and Rocky Mountain Beard and Moustache Club social coordinator Greg Rittner. Men grow and women support a Mo (moustache) for 30 days becoming walking, talking billboards. Movember supports world-class men’s health programs that combat prostate and testicular cancer. Men who support Movember, called Mo Bros, start by registering at Movember.com. Mo Bros start Movember 1st clean-shaven, then grow and groom their Mo, for the rest of the month, raising money along the way. Women who support Movember, called Mo Sistas, also start by registering at Movember.com. Mo Sistas champion the Mo by registering and supporting the Mo Bros in their life, spreading the important message of men’s health, leading a team and organizing events.
