CHICAGO - Nov. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- Green Light Movement, a Chicago-based non-profit organization, wants you to grab a bite, and watch a movie at its first “Breakfast and a Movie” fundraiser.

Breakfast and a Movie is happening at the Chatham 14 Theaters (210 W. 87th Street), during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, Saturday, November 30th.  With a $25 donation, guests are invited to enjoy a greeting, delicious breakfast, and a blockbuster movie, and all for a great cause.

“Breakfast and Movie gives the Green Light Movement a chance to showcase not only our great programs, but show the community that our youth are on the right track to success and professionalism, while knowing how to conduct themselves in a relaxed atmosphere,” says Roxanne Burnett, Executive Director of the Green Light Movement.

Breakfast starts at 9:30am, film starts at 10:00am. The featured film for guests is the newly-released “Black Nativity.”  This film adaptation of the Langston Hughes play stars several Hollywood greats, including Chicago’s own, Academy Award winner, Jennifer Hudson.  The full-course breakfast menu made exclusively by participants in the Green Light Movement’s Young Entrepreneurs program includes breakfast favorites like Eggs, Bacon, Hash Browns, Assorted Pastries, and more.

Green Light Movement’s Young Entrepreneurs program initiative focuses on Core Curriculum, bolstering the tools needed to prepare youth for college, career, and basic life skills by increasing their proficiency in literacy and math while putting those basic principles into action through real life applications.
