DoubleTree by Hilton Tarrytown to Present New Year's Eve Murder Mystery Celebration

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. - Nov. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- When the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Eve, someone will be murdered at the DoubleTree by Hilton Tarrytown and the mystery about who committed the horrible crime will not be solved until the following morning.

It will all be part of what is shaping up to be the most fun-filled and value-packed  New Year’s Eve Murder Mystery” celebration offered yet by the hotel. The party and intrigue get started on Tuesday night, December 31 and continue until Wednesday morning, January 1 at the hotel’s New Year’s party central headquarters, 455 South Broadway, Tarrytown, New York.

For just $349 per couple plus tax, couples will enjoy a cocktail hour with passed hors d’oeuvres; a delicious buffet dinner with courses and desserts galore, complimentary wine, beer and soft drinks, a champagne toast at midnight; music presented by a new D.J., dancing; overnight deluxe accommodations, breakfast buffet on New Year’s Day and, of course, an interactive murder mystery show.

The hilarious “who done it” is being presented by The Killing Kompany, New York’s leading comedy mystery theatre group whose professional actors will perform a brand new overnight comedy mystery show appropriately entitled “Murder at Midnight.” Guests won’t have to know any lines or do anything other than just be themselves and have fun but are advised to watch out as “evidence” may put some under suspicion. All will be invited to match wits with the detective to solve the mystery. Prizes will be awarded to the winner.

The fun gets underway at 6:30 PM when guests will meet and mingle with the characters over cocktails and uncover important clues. It is followed at 7:30 PM with a delicious buffet dinner prepared by the very talented culinary team led by Frank Troiano, chef de cuisine of Bistro Z, the DoubleTree by Hilton Tarrytown’s upscale modern bistro restaurant.

Passed hors d’oeuvres during the cocktail hour will include beet gazpacho shooter with edible flower garnish, steakhouse beef crostini with creamed spinach and garlic crouton, Peruvian shrimp ceviche crisps, jumbo shrimp with cocktail sauce, red and gold bruschetta, Maryland crab cakes, sweet potato and coconut chicken with Thai curry sauce, calamari frites with pomadoro sauce and barbecued pulled pork sliders.

There will be stations with soft and hard cheeses with crusty bread, crackers and fig puree, aromatic honey, dried fruit and nuts, seasonal fruit bites and grilled and pickled vegetables.

The dinner buffet offerings will include fresh garden salad with assorted vegetable and dressings, sliced fresh mozzarella, roasted eggplant, vine ripe tomatoes with basil and extra virgin olive oil, sweet potato ginger bisque, sliced petite filet of beef, roast stuffed chicken breast with winter fruits and port reduction, gnocchi with wild mushroom cognac cream sauce and freshly baked rolls and butter.

A dessert Viennese station will offer treats to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth ranging from miniature pastries and cakes and freshly baked cookies to chocolate dipped strawberries and stone fruit cobbler with vanilla ice cream.

Guests will also dance to music provided by a brand new DJ, interact with the characters and join in welcoming in 2014 with a champagne toast. A cash bar will be available for hard drinks and mixed cocktails.

A well-earned good night’s sleep in a comfortable deluxe room will follow after an evening of revelry and hilarious doings of The Killing Kompany. A delicious buffet breakfast the next morning, along with the identify and arrest of the murderer, will cap this fabulous “New Year’s Eve Murder Mystery” celebration.
