Partnering for Smart City and IoT Solutions Advantech Embedded World Partner Conference

Nov. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- As a global leader in the intelligent systems market, Advantech is hosting the Embedded World Partner Conference (WPC) in Suzhou from November 21^st to November 23^rd on the theme: Partnering for Smart City & IoT Solutions. During three days of activities, several important guests from Intel, ARM, Loongson, and IBM are invited to give talks on the future trends and developments in Smart City, IoT Solutions and the Embedded Sector. Advantech will also introduce the latest technologies and applications in the Embedded Computing, Network & Communication and Intelligent Systems fields. In addition, partners will also be invited to visit Advantech’s newly launched campus, Advantech+ Technology Campus (A+TC) in Kunshan City.

Advantech President Chaney Ho said, “On the path towards the intelligent planet, there are disruptive technologies and concepts that keep changing the world and impact on our daily lives including: mobile devices, social media, cloud computing, big data, the Internet of Things, sensor networks, 3D printing and intelligent robots. Vice President of Advantech Embedded Computing Group Miller Chang commented that, “Though the intelligent industry opportunities are huge, the gap between technology and market needs will be there for years. Customers will still find it’s challenging to acquire robust and complete embedded M2M solutions for implementing complex remote communications, and for connecting devices to develop monitoring and remote control applications. So in order to bridge the gap, Advantech established a new product division called Embedded M2M Solutions. The division will focus on providing ready-to-use embedded M2M solutions by integrating Advantech’s current embedded platforms, wireless modules, and remote control software; in collaboration with ecosystem partners.”

In other developments, Advantech recently acquired the British Intelligent Display Company GPEG who will merge with Advantech's Embedded Core Computing Group. Advantech believes that by combining GPEG’s industry know-how, its European market sales experience and Advantech’s worldwide sales team and service network, they will be able to provide the European gaming market with complete solutions as well as significantly promoting Advantech's embedded boards and overall revenue.

More than 500 participants from nearly 30 countries will join Advantech at WPC. It is expected that three days of trend analysis, technology and product introductions, solution displays, factory visits and other activities will provide global partners with invaluable knowledge and personal inspiration that will help create the intelligent applications and services that will be needed to build the intelligent planet.
