Amy Rae Boutique to Hold Grand Opening in San Diego's East Village

SAN DIEGO - Nov. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Amy Rae Boutique, an East Village retail boutique specializing in fashionable apparel, accessories and gifts, will open to the public on December 14, 2013 with its all-day grand opening event.

The brand new commercial space at 833 Market Street in downtown San Diego will house the 1,100 square-foot Boutique in the rapidly developing East Village district.

“After moving into East Village, I realized there was no conveniently located shop where you can pop-in, pick up a trendy outfit to wear that night and get a unique and fun gift for a friend all in one place,” said Amy Rae Berman, founder and owner of Amy Rae Boutique. “East Village made sense considering the growing number of surrounding developments, the demographics and the lack of retail shops in the area.”

In conjunction with the grand opening which will include giveaways, catered desserts and other fun bonuses, Amy Rae Boutique will launch its ‘Credit for Contribution’ program benefiting Dress for Success San Diego. The public is invited to bring in gently used shoes, jewelry and purses to be contributed to Dress for Success San Diego, a non-profit that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire and career development tools. Customers will receive $1 to spend at Amy Rae Boutique for each item donated (up to $10).

“It was important that the Boutique support a local non-profit since I believe corporate philanthropy should be integrated into any business no matter what size or scale,” said Berman. “Dress for Success San Diego made sense given their mission and the fact they are a neighbor here in East Village. We look forward to supporting them with other initiatives moving forward.” Following the grand opening, the ‘Credit for Contribution’ program will be held one day each month to provide ongoing support.

The Boutique will house an array of items including hard to find designers, shoes, jewelry and unique gift items. “Our goal is to provide quality items that are affordable, yet fashion-forward, and something you can’t necessarily find in other retailers,” said Berman.
