We Care – Pediatric Workshop at Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital

NADIAD, India - Nov. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital (MPUH) – Centre For Robotic Surgery (CRS), Nadiad, India, is going to organize a workshop “We Care” which will be focused on Pediatric Surgeries from 21^st to 23^rd November, 2013 from 0800 HRS to 1900 HRS (IST) at Jayaramdas Patel Academic Centre, MPUH, Nadiad. Dr. Shriram S Joshi and Dr. R B Sabnis are the course director for this entire workshop. Many international and national faculties will share their knowledge about Pediatric Urology. Some of our esteemed international faculties are: 1) Prof. Ramnath Subramaniam, HOD, Pediatric Urology Unit, St James Teaching Hospital, Leeds 2) Prof. Piet Hoebeke Pediatric Urology Unit Chief Belgium 3) Prof Henning Olsen from Aarrhus University, Denmark. Some of the esteemed Indian faculties are: Prof. Hemant Patak, Prof. M. S. Ansari & Dr. Mallikarjuna Reddy – all of whom are especially interested in pediatric urology, Hypospadias & Laparoscopic Surgery in pediatrics. Dr. Mahesh Desai, medical director and managing trustee of MPUH, Dr. Arvind Ganpule and Dr. Shashikant Mishra from MPUH will also share their experience on Pediatric Urology.

The problems will be discussed both theoretically as well during surgery. Topics to be discussed are:
1)      VUR – deflux injection & surgical approach, Lap/Robotic.
2)      Robotic pediatric urology surgery including pyeloplasty and other surgeries
3)      Hypospadias
4)      Epispadias
5)      Surgery for disorders of sexual development. List appears big but will depend on availability of cases & time but maximum amount of cases/possible will be demonstrated.
6)      Micro PCNL in pediatrics.

An interesting session in the afternoon after morning short lecture & surgery, will be an interactive session on difficult cases in management in Pediatric Urology is also organized.

This type of workshop provides great opportunities for the young and upcoming Urologists to learn from experts in the field and apprise themselves of the latest developments in the field of urology.
