Marston Holdings (Marston), the UK’s largest provider of judicial services, has announced its selection of Enable, a leading UK software development company, as a Collaborative Development Partner.

Nov. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- After a comprehensive review of its IT strategy, Marston identified the need to initiate a systems redevelopment programme that would support the business more effectively in delivering its growth ambition in terms of diversity, flexibility and volume.

Marston’s aim is to maximise the contribution of its IT systems to the rapidly growing business and develop its suite of software applications to the next level.  One of the key requirements is to benefit from recent developments in mobile technology, specifically around Responsive Design, Smartphone and tablets.

Marston reviewed the market place to identify suppliers that had the ethos, ambition and technical skills required to deliver this.  From its carefully aligned short listing process, Marston selected four companies to take part in a formal procurement exercise. The selection exercise provided Marston with a sense of the dynamics of the organisations including their toolsets, processes and people, and their ability to deliver high quality solutions on time.

Two providers were selected to work with Marston in a ‘Collaborative Development Partnership’ to implement and support the strategy over a two year period. Enable is responsible for delivering the front end User Experience and application logic layer and Future Processing has been selected to develop the backend databases and data logic layer.

Barry Duncan, Group IT Director of Marston, commented “We selected Enable as a partner due to its ability to assist Marston at this crucial stage of its evolution. Enable has a clear understanding of the deliverables expected and we are pleased to have found a supplier who is able to offer the high level of service we expect from a supplier. The locality of the company, meaning that Marston and Enable can work closely together on a face to face basis, also helped in the decision making. By the end of the roll out, we expect to have systems that will deliver an excellent user experience for all those who use the systems, including clients, field agents and staff.”

Andrew Butt, co-founder and Managing Director of Enable commented “We are delighted to be working with Marston and with Future Processing.  Marston is an innovative company who are investing heavily in systems improvement.  We have a shared vision for how the next generation software applications will ensure that they continue to have a real competitive edge within their marketplace.”
