WALTHAM, Mass. - Nov. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Keith Darcy has informed the Board of Directors of the Ethics & Compliance Officer Association (ECOA) of his intention to step down as executive director by year-end following nine years of service. After assuming the role in January 2005, Mr. Darcy led the ECOA through a remarkable period of growth and globalization of membership, benefits, and services while building a strong organizational infrastructure.

“Leading the ECOA has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life,” said Darcy, “I have been blessed to serve this outstanding community, and to have exceptional support from the ECOA board and staff.”

Mr. Darcy will continue to support the ECOA in an ongoing advisory capacity. “Keith has consistently been at the forefront of thought leadership in the area of business ethics and compliance,” noted ECOA Board Chair Lee Augsburger, “His tireless efforts have helped shape the ECOA and we are pleased that he will continue to play a role with us going forward.”

The ECOA Board of Directors has initiated steps to determine the timing and recruitment process for identifying a new executive director. During this process, the ECOA’s Chief Operating Officer, Tim C. Mazur, will be responsible for day-to-day operations.
