Step back in time for an Old fashioned Holiday Experience in Waynesville Ohio!

CINCINNATI - Nov. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Mark your calendars, call your friends and relatives and head to Waynesville's Christmas in the Village, Sponsored by National Bank & Trust Company, December 6-8, where you can experience a small town Christmas.  The event hours are Friday, December 6, Noon - 9:00 pm, Saturday, December 7, from  Noon - 9:00 pm and Sunday, December 8, Noon - 5 pm.

On Friday, December 6 at 6:00 pm, the festivities kick off with a tree lighting ceremony held at the gazebo area on Main Street.  There will be a heated entertainment tent all weekend long featuring a wide variety of holiday entertainment.  Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive daily via Wayne Township Fire Department fire truck.  They will ride down Main Street and Santa will wave to all the kids and will be dropped off at Canada Goose Gallery located at 97 South Main Street.  Santa will be there on December 6, 6:15 pm - 9:00 pm, Saturday December 7, 1-9 pm and Sunday, December 8, 1-4 pm.

Entertainment acts will be featured in the National Bank & Trust Company sponsored entertainment tent located at the corner of Main Street and Miami Street.  There is no charge to stop and watch your favorite acts perform.  Here are the scheduled performers with date and time:

Friday Dec 6th:
6:30-7:30 pm   We Are Sparta - Waynesville's High School Choral Group
8-9pm - Chris Bare of Columbus Ohio singing your favorite holiday songs

Saturday Dec 7th:
12-1pm - String Benders Senior Citizen Group from Xenia Ohio
2-3pm - Centerville Brass will fill the air with music!
3:30-4:30 pm - Bella A'Capella Sweet Adelines Chorus will get your toes tapping!
5-6pm - Dan Rivers  performing his special style of acoustic music & songs
6:30-7:30pm - Waynesville High School Band's musical gift to the community
8-9pm - Shakertown Stompers Dixie Land Band will add their musical touch

Sunday Dec 8th:
12:30-1:30pm - Michael Griffin nationally known award winning escape artist
2-3pm - Kings High School Saxophone Quartet from Kings Mills Ohio
3:30-4:30pm - Flying Cloud Academy of Vintage Dance performing in Vintage Costume


Friday and Saturday evening there will be 1300 luminaries and starting Friday at 6:00 pm and the remainder of the weekend there will be strolling costume characters, barbershop quartets, caroling groups from area churches, carriage rides and other entertainment.  Waynesville offers exceptional shopping and dining throughout the Village with over 60 shops and restaurants.  Shoppers will be amazed at all the special goodies that Waynesville has to offer.  In addition to all the festivities visitors can pick up a FREE holiday passport then shop and dine at participating businesses, have shops stamp the passport, and once completed turn the passport in at the Waynesville Area Chamber of Commerce to have the chance to win $500.00 or other prizes from participating retailers.
