Evan Guthrie Law Firm Talks Lawyers At Higher Learning Academy Event In Summerville, SC

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Nov. 17, 2013 - PRLog -- Attorney Evan Guthrie of the Evan Guthrie Law Firm in Charleston, South Carolina spoke about lawyers and the law profession at the Dorchester County 2 Higher Learning Academy at Summerville High School in Summerville, SC on Saturday May 11^th 2013. The Academy is an event to let high school students in Dorchester County South Carolina get information about colleges and careers from educational institutions and local business partners. Evan Guthrie Law Firm has been a business partner with the event for two years along with other companies such as Boeing, Blackbaud, among many others. Mr. Guthrie. Attorney Evan Guthrie had his own table where he was able to talk about and answer question that students and parents had about lawyers and the legal profession. Mr. Guthrie talked about some of his own experiences in the law world and the path that students would have to take if they wanted to pursue a law career. Many students and parents stopped by to talk and get more information that attorney Guthrie was able to offer.

This was the last Higher Learning Academy event for the 2012 – 2013 school year and included an awards ceremony and a speech by Dorchester County District 2 Superintendent Joe Pye who told his personal story and how he turned his own academic career around after some initial struggle. Mr. Guthrie was also honored with a certificate for his part in the Academy throughout the year. This was fourth event that attorney Guthrie was a part of for that school year. Mr. Guthrie was happy to be part of such an important and worthy event that has such a large impact on the future of the Charleston, SC area community and looks forward to participating again in future events.
