Follow on Google News | R&M Launches New Automated Infrastructure Management (AIM) Solution in TurkeyLaunch event was attended by over 80 top level executives from the company's customer and partner organizations across the MENA region
By: Reichle & De-Massari At the event, Alfred Tharwat, Head of Training & Data Center Consultancy at R&M Middle East, Turkey and Africa, delivered presentations on the newly launched R&MinteliPhy system and the company's solutions and strategies for its data center business in the region. These presentations were followed by a Q&A session wherein the ease of installation and ability to retrofit the solution in existing data center cable infrastructures were highlighted. Jean-Pierre Labry, Executive Vice-President of R&M Middle East, Turkey and Africa, who welcomed the company's partners and customers at the event, said, “This launch is a significant milestone for R&M's business in Turkey as it marks the introduction of a market-leading solution in the country. Since the opening of our local office in Turkey in January this year, we have closely monitored the market which has led us to realize the need for such an advanced cable management solution. The product was very well received at the event and we expect a significant amount of business to be generated as talks are already underway with a number of our customers.” R&MinteliPhy Monitor and R&MinteliPhy Manage are two pillars of the AIM solution. R&MinteliPhy Monitor enables real-time acquisition of network connectivity by utilizing RFID technology. The universal HD platform from R&M can be retrofitted with R&MinteliPhy Monitor. Both copper and FO connections are supported with R&MinteliPhy. LEDs on the patch panels help technical personnel with all patching tasks. Connectivity is supervised at all times and any unsolicited change generates immediately an alarm with exact fault location and definition of corrective actions. R&MinteliPhy Manage is a software application for the administration of physical infrastructures. It is built around a central database that contains the entire authorized network configuration. A graphical visualization of the network on different layers and high-performance search and report functions give full transparency over the network status at any time. R&MinteliPhy Manage has a work order system that helps support controlled changes to the infrastructure. This means modifications can be planned in advance and their execution monitored. Inventory functions, resource management and many other management / automation tools round off the program. R&MinteliPhy Manage is modular in structure and contains interfaces for exchanging data with third-party systems. In addition to R&MinteliPhy, R&M also demonstrated its ODF, pre-terminated cables, Modular HD panel and Venus Box solutions. The demonstrations and presentations conveyed the company's commitment to swiftness, efficiency, reliability, speed and intelligence in product design and delivery. To strengthen relationships with its customer and partners in the region, the event also featured a tour of Turkey's famed Blue Mosque and Spice and Grand Bazaar. Also present at the event were R&M's top regional executives including Suleyman Tokmak, Managing Director, Turkey; Manzoor Ali, Managing Director, Saudi; Alaa Darwish, Sales Manager of UAE and Iraq; Mohammad Riyaz, Sales Manager of Qatar and Oman; Mohammad Sweidan, Area sales Director LEVANT and Africa; and Sandrine Prat, Marketing & Communication Manager at R&M Middle East, Turkey and Africa.
