IRVINE, Calif. - Nov. 15, 2013 - PRLog -- TechBiz Connection and Sekur.me founder Jack Bicer will host an interactive discussion on m-commerce security issues in easy-to-understand terms covering what organizations and institutions can do to protect themselves on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 6:00-9:00 PM at the law offices of Knobbe, Martens, Olson & Bear in Irvine.

According to Mr. Bicer, TechBiz Connection president and mobile security expert, virtually all commuters in the major metropolitan areas of Japan use their mobile phone to pay their train fares. Globally, mobile payments will surpass $235 billion this year while Gartner predicts that 245.2 million people will make a mobile payment in 2013 (an increase of 22.1 percent from 2012).

“We are on the verge of an m-commerce revolution,” Bicer said. “I expect an imminent nationwide launch of payments by all the four major U.S. mobile carriers combined with banks, Paypal, Amazon and the Google mobile payment ecosystems. 2014 will mark the tipping point for mobile commerce.”

The November forum will discuss how businesses can prepare for the new m-commerce technology; explain the optimal m-commerce strategy; and describe what “M” merchants can do to enhance revenue generation potential while protecting themselves at the same time.

Jack Bicer is the founder of SEKUR.me, a promising mobile security and mobile payments startup. He is also the CEO of Septium, a custom web and mobile app development company. Prior to Septium, Mr. Bicer held several CTO roles since 1996. A 30+ year software industry veteran, he is an industry expert on mobile applications, authentication, SaaS/web software, and payment processing. Inventor of “Uninstall” and “Automatic Software Updates”, his inventions run on every computer and every smartphone today. Previously at Verisign, Symantec and Xerox, Mr. Bicer holds a BSc in Communications Engineering from University of Kent, an MSc in Computer Science from George Washington University and attended the Pepperdine MBA program.

The event moderator is Joe Morris, a telecommunications media and technology consultant for SEICO. Mr. Morris focuses on digital distribution across platforms, digital storefront optimization, and alternative digital commerce models. He was formerly vice president and general manager for Konami Digital Entertainment’s mobile and social business unit where he led them into the top ten of mobile game publishers by devising and executing the Americas content and distribution strategy through multiple partnerships across all mobile operators, major smartphone and tablet OEMs, and app storefronts.
