Pratim Datta, Associate Professor in the Department of Management and Information Systems, was appointed as the new director of the Ph.D. program. “As the Ph.D. Director, I plan to work closely with the Dean, the Associate Deans, the Graduate Office and the faculty to increase transparency, outreach and engagement for our Ph.D. program in Business Administration,” For the past three years, Datta has been placed among the top 50 researchers publishing in top Information Systems journals, internationally. He has more than 55 publications in journals and conferences. Datta also has more than 11 patents in applications such as biometrics, authentication, military solutions, electronic voting and green recycling. “Dr. Datta brings experience in working with doctoral students, an excellent research record, and a host of creative ideas to the position,” said Donald Williams, Interim Associate Dean in the College of Business. “He has also exhibited an ability to work well with colleagues across the college, which is important in an interdisciplinary program such as the Ph.D. in Business.” For more information about Kent State’s College of Business Administration, including the Department of Management of Information Systems and the Ph.D. program, visit www.kent.edu/ End
