Abstract

Background:

In the course of building unique physician mailing lists, performing routine hygiene (NCOA-Verification before every shipment, Monthly CASS-Certification) and maintaining the high standards they have for their physician mailing list, MEDbase200 conducts research studies to assess the current state of physician specialties, physician specialists fields, and physician demographics by specialty and state. Research studies ensure that their data is current and presents the most accurate selects available. Precise segmentation of the physician market is impossible without current assessments that interact directly with their over 800,000 total universe physician mailing list. MEDbase200's goal is to present a sample of their findings for general education about the current physician market and state of physician income, while ensuring their physician mailing list is indeed the most accurate on the market.

Methods:

A sample size was determined from MEDbase200's physician mailing list (Total Universe: 812,634) that would accurately represent the physician specialty market.
