Recognizing Atlanta’s rank as one of the top U.S. cities preferred by young professionals, the Buckhead North office of Harry Norman, Realtors has expanded its focus to provide additional expert real estate support to single professionals, young couples and families in choosing their next home. According to Rob Owen, Senior Vice President and Manager of the Buckhead North office, “We’ve launched an extraordinarily talented team of young professional Realtors, the “Millennial Group,” to serve this increasingly important younger market, composed in large part of Millennials themselves and also members of Generation X.”

At a Continental Breakfast and Inaugural Program presented by Harry Norman, Realtors leaders, Rob Owen welcomed the “Millennial Group” consisting of Michael Neill, Kyle Gilbert, Kristen Feldman, Clayton Howard, Jackie Smith, Juan Carlos Carrion, Ashley Lee and Katie Brannen.  The Millennials are defined as people born between 1982 and 2004, while Generation X members followed the post-World War II “baby boom” and were born in the early 1960s through the earliest 1980s.

“Our new young professional Realtors demonstrate what authors William Strauss and Neil Howe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strauss_and_Howe) call in their book Millennials Rising: The Next Great Generation a characteristic of being ‘civic-minded and like the G.I. generation, possessing a strong sense of community both local and global.’”  Rob Owen noted that, “Each of our new Millennial Group agents reflects the authors’ description.  Their proficiency in technology, their aptitude with emerging high-tech advances and competence in social media give each of them an edge in finding clients exactly the right next home or selling their present residence.”

Following the Breakfast, Todd Banister, #1 Agent in Units sold company-wide for Harry Norman, Realtors and himself a Millennial generation member, riveted the new associates with his candid advice, strategies for building an agent’s clientele and customers, and his own success story as a Top Agent in the 1,000 member firm.  Rob Owen commented, “Todd Banister’s points applied to each agent’s business plan.  The new associates were riveted during his insightful remarks.”

Other speakers Julie Terrell, Mortgage Officer for HomeServices Lending of Georgia, addressed the advantages offered by Harry Norman, Realtors own affiliate mortgage service; Jane Freeman, an experienced agent and leader in the firm’s Mentor Program for new associates gave sage career advice; Office Manager Stephanie Bolton detailed procedures designed to assist agents; and Rob Owen assured them of his 24/7 availability to be of help to them.

About the Buckhead North Millennial Associates:

Katie Brannen
is a Woodward Academy and Auburn University graduate who interned with her father’s commercial real estate firm NAI Brannen Goddard throughout her school years.  At Buckhead North, she is a member of the Stockton Cousins Group.  Her volunteer efforts are directed to the Special Olympics and Trinity House.

Michael Neill graduated Cum Laude from Georgia State University with a B.A. in Journalism and a concentration in Public Relations and English. He obtained his Real Estate license in New York and received his license in Georgia shortly afterwards.   Prior to entering real estate, Michael worked for an international telecommunications company.

A graduate of Roswell High School and the University of Georgia with a BA in Telecommunication Arts,Kristen Feldman is actively involved as a volunteer at North Fulton Community Charities, a non-profit dedicated to preventing homelessness to individuals.  She is an avid runner and a gifted pop art painter.

Jackie Smith brings over 10 years of corporate experience to real estate.  She specializes in buying and selling properties around Buckhead and Brookhaven and is knowledgeable about finding or selling as well as second homes, vacation homes, rental and investment properties.

Clayton Howard’s career began in hospitality with the JW Marriott Corporation, following graduation from Auburn University where he majored in International Business.  His studies and college work included the University of Salamanca in Spain and Tipiliuke Lodge in Argentina’s Patagonia.  A loyal War Eagle, Clayton is involved with the Auburn Alumni Association.

A dedicated volunteer for the Shepherd Clinic, Kyle Gilbert first worked for the Alpine Adaptive Scholarship Program, Inc.  He graduated from Marist High School and received his B.A. degree from the University of Montana, where he was a pitcher on the Baseball Team.  Fly-fishing, skiing, golf and travel are his pursuits.

With an international circle of associations and friends, plus fluency in the Spanish language,Juan Carlos Carrion (known as “J.C.”) brings his abilities to both the English-speaking and Latin markets.  He is market savvy about properties outside the Perimeter such as Buford, Dacula and Suwanee as well as Northside and Buckhead residential areas.

Ashley Lee’s success career in luxury property management is a strong foundation for her ability to market and sell residential real estate.  With her high energy level and enthusiasm, as well as experience in the real estate arena, she is adept at finding clients exactly the home for their needs.
