Is Primitive Camping Better Than The Modern RV?

Spark The Fire LLC is releasing a new product line, and wants to stress the idea of spending time with the family around the camp fire, instead of the t.v.

Nov. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- Have you ever gone camping? Not with an RV or a camper but with a tent and a sleeping bag next to a fire! It probably was a great experience, even better then sleeping in a nice air conditioned RV. That's because you're bonding, and spending time enjoying the peace of nature and of the people you're with. It's proven that spending time in nature has a benefit on your vitality and view on life, according to a study by Rochester University: http://www.rochester.edu/news/show.php?id=3639

Even several writers of epic novels, wrote about sitting around the fire, and the clarity is provides. Tolkien for example in the Fellowship of the Ring, while the main character Bilbo was about to set off on an adventure, he sang the song "I Sit Beside a Fire and Think". This poem written by Tolkien, and has been covered by several people, as it was never composed by an official source. Here's my favorite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ja6aT8XRzec

Here's the original text of the poem, and I do not own this poem:

"I sit beside the fire and think
of all that I have seen,
of meadow-flowers and butterflies
In summers that have been;

Of yellow leaves and gossamer
in autumns that there were,
with morning mist and silver sun
and wind upon my hair.

I sit beside the fire and think
of how the world will be
when winter comes without a spring
that I shall ever see.

For still there are so many things
that I have never seen:
in every wood in every spring
there is a different green.

I sit beside the fire and think
of people long ago,
and people who will see a world
that I shall never know.

But all the while I sit and think
of times there were before,
I listen for returning feet
and voices at the door."

If you've never tried to go camping with a fire beside you, and a pillow under your head. Why don't you try going all the way, and start a fire with a simple flint and steel: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00G81GW8Y

Thank you, and remember to spend time breathing in the smell of fall, and looking at the stars. It's good for you!
