Grace De La Rosa “You have to understand that Your Talent Consultant is not the same thing as your acting coach.” Grace, who serves a national clientele, knows the truth.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Nov. 14, 2013 - PRLog -- Grace De La Rosa, with the motto, “The Business of Acting –Simplified” helps aspiring actors get started in the industry and manage their career – something much different than what an acting coach does. Visit: http://www.yourtalentconsultant.com/ As actors start their acting careers, they turn to an acting classes and an acting coach to develop their talent. On the other hand, a talent consultant focuses on making an actor successful in the business of acting with a number of steps and techniques that acting coaches don’t touch on at all. Both acting coaches and talent consultants have one thing in common, according to De La Rosa: They both educate people on how to be actors. That’s where the similarities end.

“Acting is a business,” De La Rosa said. “This includes the day-to-day activities that separate the talented actor from the successful, working actor.” De La Rosa is not surprised that some aspiring actors find the idea counter-intuitive, but she insists: “Mere talent does not lead to success.”

De La Rosa says some of the most common signs an actor needs a talent consultant are easy to recognize. Some of the issues that come up include focusing on stage and film credits without finding representation – an agent. “What happens with talented actors is that they make enormous sacrifices but don’t find anybody who can convert the effort into paying jobs. The talented actor puts in time and effort but never realizes a payday. As the efforts go unnoticed, talented actors grow discouraged and lose faith and confidence in the industry and themselves.”

According to De La Rosa other signs an actor may need a talent consultant includes the illusion of success in unpaid work. “With unpaid jobs that are artistically satisfying will come an expectation of success that the industry will validate with offers of paid work. It won't happen if the actor has no representation. Depending on where the actor is in their career, this lack of validation can make the artistic success feel ephemeral.”

De La Rosa wants aspiring actors and parents of child actors to understand that in most situations, the role of the acting coach and the talent consultant do not collide in anyway. However, working with one and not the other is a problem. “Actors need to hone their acting techniques and skills just as much as they need to know how to run their business so that they can successfully work as an actor for years to come,” says De La Rosa.

De La Rosa stays with her actors every step of the way as they journey into the world of acting. She insists there’s no guarantee of success; her only guarantee is that she will show aspiring actors the fastest route to success, assuming they will work for it. Her consulting firm helps determine goals, manage the business and creates a customized systematic plan of action that the aspiring actor can follow to succeed.

De La Rosa will show you how to avoid common pitfalls in the world of acting. She serves a national clientele through phone and web consultation. Contact Grace: http://www.yourtalentconsultant.com/contact/ by visiting her website and filling out the contact form.
