SMISS Ltd announces new version of OXSEED ECM

KHARKOV, Ukraine - Nov. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- OXSEED is an advanced ECM system that provides long-term archival of documents and automation of documents workflow within the company and outside. It is one of the biggest projects that SMISS Ltd http://www.smiss.ua develops now.

Main features of new version are:

1. RIA (Rich internet application) is used instead of traditional client-server thin client web-applications.
2. Improved user interface based on AngularJS, jQuery, WebSocket, etc.
3. We achieved better results in high availability, robustness and performance of the application by implementation of clustering, replication, load balancing and new approaches to dispatching of the multithreaded barch-processing.
4. Storage-subsystem is based on the up-to-date cloud storage services, including integration with Amazon S3.
5. All components are designed as parts of the whole cloud-solution that allows any system component to be adapted to the specific load and provides high fault tolerance.
6. The search system has optimized full-text search based on the latest version of Apache Solr.
7. An implemented system of centralized dynamic configuration allows to set up all the components necessary for operating the system: starting from users, ftp access, etc., and up to the different settings of workflow of imported documents – their processing and life-cycle within the system.
8. Improved data backup system is centralized now. Even if backup is in progress, the system is still available for users just with limited funtionality for a short period.
9. System updates delivery is automatic.
10. All system´s data is stored in encrypted form.
11. The monitoring of all system´s components and immediate notification of the technicians in case of errors are improved.

In general, the new version demonstrates higher robustness, performance and better usability.

SMISS Ltd http://www.smiss.ua expects the end of alpha-testing of the system and its release in January 2014.
