Lighthouse Outdoor Lighting Steps up to "Face-Off" Challenge

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Nov. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- When Lighthouse Outdoor Lighting received a call representing three of Columbus Ohio's most recognizable companies, they listened. Days before the opening game face-off at Nationwide Arena featuring the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets hockey team, there was a problem. The concession booth sign for corporate sponsor Papa John's Pizza had minimal lighting. The columned structure was shadowy and dark and did not bring attention to the area. Lighting was needed to showcase the signage. However, when the sign had been first installed there had been no thought of ever adding extra lighting, so no provisions had been made for expansion. Stadium officials brought in-house engineers and architects to find a solution on how to add lights. After evaluating the situation it was concluded a lighting specialist was needed.

Called in was Aaron Wilcox, field manager/project designer for Lighthouse Outdoor Lighting. He evaluated the situation saying,"Lighting this booth with its unique columns had to be designed from the inside out." Wilcox also added,"To prevent shadowing and keep the customers line of sight in mind was a challenge but the final result required a custom design with the wire and fixtures positioned inside the metal structures." In the end all involved were extremely pleased with the lighting solution.
