VROU Chosen to Headline Launch of Women-Focused Crowdfunding Platform, Plum AlleyFormer professional soccer player turned entrepreneur, Kathryn Moos (Founder of VROU), sees Plum Alley as way for female entrepreneurs to access sources of capital that otherwise has been non-existent for women business owners.
By: VROU While crowdfunding is nothing new nowadays with the rise of popular websites like Kickstarter and IndieGoGo, Plum Alley’s platform is unique in that it is the first to target women entrepreneurs specifically. One entrepreneur agreed and liked what Plum Alley offered when Jackson approached her to be one of the first, featured brands on the site, causing her to choose it over the other, already proven platforms because of its focus on the female entrepreneur. “As a woman who is starting her own business whose target consumer is a woman, it made perfect sense to go with Plum Alley. Deborah [Jackson] is such a great champion of women entrepreneurs that it was really a no brainer to align VROU with her and her brand,” said Kathryn Moos, founder and CEO of VROU—a women’s health and wellness brand whose first product is a multi-vitamin, antioxidant, and electrolyte drink formulated for women. Moos boasts each of their three, great tasting flavors contains an excellent source of many essential nutrients with only 5 calories, no sugar, and no artificial sweeteners or preservatives. VROU is off to a good start only six days into their 45-day campaign and having already raised nearly 50% of their $30,000 goal. While pleased with the first week, Moos isn’t taking any breaks anytime soon because $30,000 will only get VROU through their next production run (VROU was approved by Whole Foods’ Northeast Region only two months after launch). “There’ See VROU’s crowdfunding campaign here: http://fund.plumalley.co/ ABOUT VROU VROU (vroo) is a women’s health and lifestyle brand that empowers women to unleash wellness in themselves and in their communities.
